With each game played in the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season, the race for getting into playoffs are becoming more competitive. The bottom four teams in the standings are claiming victory over the top teams, and this has ignited the IPL once more. In this article, we will try to find out that can RCB qualify for Playoffs?
After losing to Mumbai Indians by six wickets, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are still stuck in the middle of the table. They have played 11 games and are presently in seventh place with five wins and six losses. RCB is suffering greatly as a result of losing their last two games despite playing skillfully with the bat. With their final league game slated for May 21, RCB still has three games left to play.
In the first 11 games of the IPL 2023, RCB has won five and lost six. In the standings, they are presently in seventh position.
RCB’s next three games are against the Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Gujarat Titans. The other two games, outside the one against the Titans, will be played away from home.
After losing to MI, RCB’s chances of finishing in the top two have vanished. Their NRR of -0.345 is not the best, and even if they win their next three games, teams like GT and CSK are comfortably in the first place, and appear to be impossible for them to overtake due to their strong NRR. RCB will need to focus on making it to the playoffs. After winning three games, it will be interesting to see if they can finish in the top four teams based on their NRR. It currently appears to be utterly difficult for them to move up to the top two.
It is a difficult task but not an impossible one. Fans of RCB will be with their team all throughout and this could ignite a spark for their final few games.
